Third Section Outline: 19/10/2009

on Monday 19/10/2009 students of the third year, faculty of Arts had their third section on linguistics. i really appreciate the participation of section one students(8-11 a.m.). they listened to two different texts for about 30 minutes. then I began to speak for 15 minutes about different topics, highlighting the concept of a university student in the Dept. of English. Students, then, began to deliver presentations. I thank them all:Taysir, Alaa', Doaa', Al-Shaymaa'and Eman. Prominent among them was Al-Shaymaa'; her English presentation was, despite some pronunciation mistakes, very good. Students later on listened to a motivating English lyric, finishing the section by having syntax quiz.

As for Section two(11-1:45p.m.), there was a surprising attitude among students to participate. the section was divided into parts: listening)30-35 minutes), doctor-oriented presentation(10 minutes), students' presentations(40 minutes), lyric listening(5 minutes) and syntax quiz(20 minutes). I do thank students who participated in the English presentations Mostafa,Meray Doaa', and others, Abeer; special thanks for student Meray. She was the best speaker.Bravo Meray and Bravo all other students. Really what you have done is wonderful. That is really how a student in he English Dept. should do.

Any time I feel despaired or sad for any reason, I change spontaneously to the opposite extreme once you come to my mind dear 3rd year students. Go forward. May Allah be always with you.Study well. Donot forget your library. Use the library well according to the rules. Look inside your hearts and youwill always see the truth that ahero/ a heroine lies in you!
